Professor Huang Huang – Jing Fang Body Constitution Differentiation & Clinical Application
This 3-day course is perfect for practitioners who are new to Jing Fang or herbal medicine. We welcome all herbalists and even acupuncturists without any prior knowledge in herbal medicine. Jing Fang is an excellent way to learn herbal medicine as its methods are very straightforward. Jing Fang is similar to conventional medicine in the way that it treats disease. However, Jing Fang delves much deeper by analysing each patient’s body constitution (body type, inherited health, acquired health and their current state of health), the six-channels and also the eight-principles to determine which formula should be assigned for treatment. You will learn how to differentiate body constitutional types and also how to assign the appropriate formulas. Professor Huang Huang is well-known for his captivating teaching style and students find his lectures enjoyable to learn. He will teach in a step-by-step manner to ensure that students can learn effectively. You will also learn recommended dosages, as well as hearing about Prof. Huang’s experiences in TCM.
Please note that this course is recommended to practitioners who are fairly new to Jing Fang. We have a selection of more advanced courses available during the same week, which focus on certain disease types such as Auto-immune diseases, Respiratory diseases, Infertility and Blood Stasis.
About the lecture
Jing Fang and Acupuncture are the most valuable treasures of Classical Chinese Medicine. Jing Fang 经方, or Classic Formulas, is a method that has been used for over 1000 years and does so by using natural ingredients. The clinical application of Jing Fang focuses on prescribing formulas which correspond to syndromes. Due to the obscure content from classical textbooks, it is often difficult to reveal the secrets of Jing Fang applications. Prof. Huang Huang is passionate about Jing Fang research and clinical application, and has spent decades generating a simplified method for the use of Jing Fang. His theory of body constitution differentiation is based on clinical applications, it is very logical and repeatable. His methods have attracted a great amount of attention globally.
It is a great honour to host this 3-day course with Prof. Huang to this event. In this course, we will focus on the most commonly used formulae: Huang Qi Family, Ban Xia Family and Gan Cao Family. These formulae are commonly used to treat diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, emotional symptoms, auto-immune diseases, digestive diseases, as well as oncology treatments. Prof. Huang will explain each formula in thorough detail and teach us how to understand the method of Jing Fang application. He will also provide his most useful Jing Fang clinical cases, which will help us gain the confidence to put Jing Fang into practice.
Professor Huang welcomes Acupuncturists who want to expand into herbal medicine. To quote him – “If you take Acupuncture and Moxibustion in one hand, and Jing Fang in the other, you will be a famous Chinese Medicine Practitioner!”
